Marc LeBel, former President of NuChem Sciences-Sygnature and founder of Anapharm, and Hugues Harvey, President of Harvey Corp, are proud to announce the acquisition of the megacomplex at 2300 d’Estimauville Avenue in Quebec City – the former Medicago plant – with the intention of developing it into a life sciences cluster.
The megacomplex – in terms of size, nature and modernity of its facilities – represents an incredible potential for the life sciences sector in Quebec City. The 700,000 sq. ft. facilities include state-of-the-art laboratories, clean rooms, offices and industrial space. They have been unused since Medicago ceased operations in 2023.
Tens of millions of dollars will be invested to convert the complex into a hub for life sciences, a strategic industry for the greater Capitale-Nationale region. The aim is to accommodate private companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical technology sectors, as well as incubators and public health organizations.
